Gin, gifts and a golden goose egg hunt at April’s market!

Second Sundays will be bursting back onto Andover High Street on Sunday 9 April for an egg-stra special Easter edition.

Open from 10am to 3pm we’ve got lots of free activities in store, as well as designer-maker stalls, sweet treats, music, food and drink.

Local traders will be popping up in front of the Guildhall with unique artisan goods such as original art, gifts and handmade jewellery, as well as New York-inspired cookies and hand-baked shortbread.

Andover Tap will be serving a selection of cocktails, local ales and spirits from their mobile horse-box bar and there will be other soft drinks available.

For the April market we’re partnering up with local charity Unity to run a Golden goose egg hunt between 10am until 12pm, featuring golden eggs created by students at Andover College. To take part simply collect an entry form from the Unity stall at Second Sundays, search the High Street for the hidden eggs and return the form to claim a special Easter treat.

Alongside the egg hunt there will be two free craft workshops running throughout the day, for all ages, offering the chance to make some Easter themed prints and create stitched flower brooches, perfect for spring.

In Andover, from Andover BID will also be visiting to host their Easter Bonnet parade and prize giving.  Launching the week before Easter Sunday, families will have the chance to create their very own bonnets and bring them along to the market to be displayed. A special prize giving will take place at 1pm on the day to celebrate the best entries. To find out more about how to enter visit the In Andover website: www.inandover.co.uk/town-centre-events/.
